Power 7 - The Amber Ring. This talisman shields the wearer from magical detection.

Notes

During the day, the shadowy figure known as "The Kaiser" is a college librarian. It was through her study of certain tomes in the Antiquities collection that she learned her first spells. Keen of intellect, she immediately realized the power that now lay within her grasp... and the Machiavellian uses to which it could be applied.

First, she demonstrated her deadly powers to a gang that operated a small piece of the narcotics trade in her city, by killing their leaders. Then, she offered to decimate their adversaries the same way... if the gang members took a Solemn Oath of loyalty to her. They did, and now this meek librarian is the major player in the local underworld.

It wasn't long before she discovered the price of her power, before the Wild Hunt came calling. Only her pseudonym and protective shield of loyal thugs saved her life. Since then, she has secured the Amber Ring and infiltrated a group of local guardians who unwittingly keep her informed of any magical threats that come to town.
