Skills
- Make Things Die (4) You can't hurt the Long
Shadow physically.
- Seen It All (5) History, occultism, the Long
Shadow knows it all.
- Scamper (3) The Long Shadow hates it when its
hosts die.
Magic
Power 8 - The Long Shadow knows many spells, but
has a hard time speaking long incantations, inscribing symbols,
or holding objects. If a mouse can cast it, so can the Long Shadow.
Otherwise, he's just a teacher.
Notes
This ancient demon was one of mankind's first attempts
to put a genie in a bottle. It is summoned into the body of an animal,
something small and easy to kill. If the demon ever gets out of
hand, the spellbinder has only to kill the host and the demon is
sent back into oblivion. At least, that was the thinking in Sumeria
around 3000 B.C.
The Long Shadow's true form is a 9-foot, translucent
humanoid covered in scales and spikes. Most of the time, it remains
invisible and intangible, living through its host. It can become
material in flashes of up to second, just enough time to throw a
wrecking ball punch or tear an insolent spellbinder in twain.
However, it's fearsome combat abilities are not
its most prized virtue. The Long Shadow has been around a long time,
seen and learned many things. It can teach a spellbinder many things
about magic... if they speak it's particular dialect of ancient
Sumerian. If not, you'd better just hack the host's head off and
be done with it!
